STOCKTON -- Discover worlds within our world as 188bet备用网址 College hosts a free open house on April 11 showcasing the College鈥檚 unique听别濒别肠迟谤辞苍听尘颈肠谤辞蝉肠辞辫测听辫谤辞驳谤补尘.
The public is welcome to attend the open house, which runs from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. 188bet备用网址鈥檚 powerful microscopes will be on full display. With magnification of 100,000 times or greater, the microscopes produce amazing and even beautiful images of objects that are otherwise invisible to the naked eye.
188bet备用网址鈥檚听electron听microscopy听program is the only one of its kind at a U.S. community college. Graduates have landed rewarding careers at laboratories across the country.
Last year,听electron听microscopy听was among more than 20 career programs at 188bet备用网址 to be recognized by the California Community Colleges Chancellor鈥檚 Office for the听success of graduates.听Those who finished the program saw an average 168 percent increase in their earnings.
鈥淲e encourage members of the public to come to our open house and learn more about how听electron听microscopy听might be a good fit for them,鈥 said Professor Frank Villalovoz.
The public will be able to tour the laboratories, speak with staff and see demonstrations. Food will also be served.
