College is stressful. And so is life. Sometimes, with everything going on, you just might need to prioritize your physical and your emotional health. And then get back to your classes.听
The good news is that the new 188bet备用网址 College Health Center is here for you 鈥 and your dependents 鈥 right here on campus. Just in case you need to take a time out and take care of yourself. Or your loved ones.听
One thing you won鈥檛 have to worry about? Your status. Because the Health Center welcomes all 188bet备用网址 students and their dependents.听
One 188bet备用网址 student, Bianca Aguilar, attended the Health Center鈥檚 recent ribbon cutting. She was enthusiastic: 鈥淚 like it because it鈥檚 right here 鈥 that it鈥檚 accessible to so many people.鈥澨 听
Inside the Health Center听
There鈥檚 a bright, clean reception room where you can make appointments and even get help with applying for health insurance.
Features of the clinics at the Health Center include private, soundproof rooms, and prescription drug assistance. For some of your more complex healthcare needs, there are even bilingual 鈥渉ealthcare navigators鈥 who will meet you where you鈥檙e at, and then guide you through the steps that will get you back on your feet.听
Even paying for services at the Health Center can be a relief. The Health Center accepts Medi-Cal, Medicare, and Covered California. Sliding-scale fees are available to uninsured students.听 It鈥檚 set up so that no one is turned away because of their inability to pay.
Students with private insurance should seek care from their private insurance provider, but any 188bet备用网址 student in crisis can come to the Health Center for assistance.
Some of the services offered by the 188bet备用网址 College Health Center are:听
- Mental health and psychiatric care, including help with test and academic anxiety听
- A "warm line" phone number for stressful times when you just need someone to talk to听
- Walk-in appointments for sick patients and behavioral health concerns听
- Reproductive health care for all students听
- Neonatal care and WIC programs for new parents听
- Transition care for students who鈥檝e recently been hospitalized
- Routine dental care by appointment for x-rays and cleanings, and referrals for more intensive care (coming soon!)听
- Hepatitis C and HIV testing and treatment for times when you鈥檙e worried that you鈥檙e at risk, and want to know your status听
- COVID vaccines 听
- Health and nutrition classes via Zoom and, soon, on campus
- Prescription assistance offering subsidized, lower-cost medications to help you pay for your treatment听 听
- Acute care 听
If you鈥檇 prefer to go to a community clinic or need a service that isn鈥檛 available here, the 188bet备用网址 College Health Center鈥檚 got you covered there, too. The Health Center is operated by Community Medical Centers, which has more than 25 health centers across San Joaquin County.听

To find the 188bet备用网址 College Health Center, head to the north end of the Locke building, near the Child Development Center. Follow the walkway to the glass windows, and you鈥檒l be at the Health Center鈥檚 reception area.
This semester, the 188bet备用网址 College Health Center is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Also, remote services are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays.听
COVID vaccines are available every Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.听
