Artist Statement: 

The work represented in this show comprises two different aspects of my current explorations in the ceramic medium.听 Plucker is a work that incorporates molds and slip casting procedures, and expresses a desire to explore the possibilities of altering cast pieces along with the introduction of alternative materials.听 In Brown Tower, I use extrusions and traditional hand building techniques to construct the work in a confluence of technique and intuition.

In all of my work, content is dictated by whim.听 I keep my studio practice open to chance, the influence of space, discovery and material.听 Subsequently, content comes into focus as the work is combined and arranged.
