All campus personnel should be alert to signs of mental distress in students.听 This can include (but is not limited to):
Shows visible signs of anxiety and/or depression
Lacks direction or focus (school, career, etc.)
Expresses suicidal thoughts or thoughts of harm to self or others
Shows substance abuse or addiction problems
Appears to need resources (food, shelter or other assistance)
Shows or expresses grief or bereavement concerns
Shows visible signs of abuse or self-abuse (cutting, burning, etc.)
Appears to be a victim of assault

File a so the process to provide support will begin and the student may be contacted.

If the concern involves potential Title IX violations, an ACTS team member will also notify the Title IX officer.
听
A crisis counselor will be notified of the concern through the Maxient reporting system.
听
The crisis counselor will contact the student and will assess the level of concern and make appropriate recommendations for the student鈥檚 care which could include:
Mental health counseling through the 188bet备用网址 Health Center
Basic needs support through the Basic Needs Center
Financial Aid support (gas cards or other forms of financial support)
Outside referrals

Each case is reviewed by the ACTS committee before it is closed to ensure that the proper actions were taken and the case is resolved.
